CK biker portraits

I started out taking studio portraits with this “badass” lighting and editing style with one of my friends DM. You can see the results of that shoot here. CK volunteered to pose next. I think I’m getting the hang of it.

The lighting setup for these portraits was more or less the same for all shots. I.e. a 18cm gridded spot at the background powered by an Elinchrom Quadra, 2 portalite softboxes left and right behind aiming forward at an angle (on a 1100 w/s Ranger RX) and the main light was a 135cm gridded stripbox powered by an Elinchrom BXRi. The grid is a 50 degree Lighttools grid and the front diffuser was used too.

The setup diagram below shows how the first photo (on the left) was taken. The above version in B&W was made using the same setup with the exception of the reflector.
